“Lutheran Liturgies, Volume 1: We Praise You, O God” – Piano

This volume meets the requests for simplified settings of the liturgy for use by developing pianists. The Divine Service – Setting Three and Matins (from Lutheran Service Book) are each presented in two levels of difficulty in a “Setting A” and a “Setting B” with student development in mind. Setting A is a duet for a beginning pianist and teacher (or parent, sibling, or friend). Where possible, the student has the melody, and the teacher supports it with chords. Setting B is for an intermediate pianist. The melody is always present, harmonic textures have been simplified, and large intervals have been avoided.
