Plant the Notes, Grow the Faith
Join the movement to raise the next generation of church musicians.
This November and December, we are raising $100,000 to put hymn books in children's hands, help families start lessons, fund hymn festivals, and plant new music conservatories in churches and schools.
David's Harp is a 501(c)(3). Every gift is tax-deductible. Give once or monthly.
400+ students trained.
29 conservatories and growing.
On our way to 100 by 2030.
The Bench Is Empty
In churches all over the country, the organ bench sits empty on Sunday morning. The musicians who played for decades are retiring. There is no one behind them. Some churches have already given up. A speaker plays a recording where a living musician used to sit.
It is not the church's fault. For years, no one trained the next generation. Kids who could have learned the hymns never got the chance. Families who wanted lessons had nowhere to turn. Now whole towns have no one who can play.
When the music dies, something else dies with it. The hymns carry the Word of God into hearts like nothing else can. A church without musicians is a church losing one of its oldest ways to teach the faith.
"This is why we plant the notes, so the faith can grow."
You Plant. They Grow.
David's Harp trains teachers, equips congregations, and launches music conservatories. The conservatories do the teaching. Your gift keeps the whole thing growing. Every dollar lands somewhere specific. Our goal is 100 active conservatories by 2030. We are at 29 today. Every gift in this campaign moves that number.

The Movement Is Already Growing
Rev. Orval Peters - Mount Calvary, Watonga, Oklahoma
His parish was losing members and musicians. Now he has two organ teachers, two piano teachers, and himself on guitar ready to teach. He sees six or seven towns around him that could grow from one conservatory.
Samuel F. - St. Paul's Lutheran Church - Council Bluffs, IA
15-year-old Samuel plays piano during communion at Divine Service. The conservatory gave him the training. His parish gave him the chance to use it. Week after week.
Jeremiah Boland - Holy Cross, Des Moines
A church was worshiping to recorded music. Six weeks of training later, they had their own students playing. Jeremiah kept going. He is now studying organ at the University of Northern Iowa.
"We're not musical parents, but our son loves Lutheran music and hymnody. David's Harp listened to us, and they knew what he needed. They were right."
